Somaiya 7s :- The concept of Somaiya 7s was created to create a Leather Ball cricket community who can come together and celebrate cricket in a sporting and healthy manner. Somaiya 7s Corporate League was group of 12 teams participating and having a healthy cricketing culture.
Rules and Regulations
● Games are played between two teams of seven players, and each game
consists of a maximum seven overs.
● Each member of the fielding side bowls one over with one bowler
bowling 2 overs, wicket-keeper cannot bowl.
● Wide and no-balls count as three runs.
● The last over of the innings is a normal over with no-ball and wide ball
not being counted and only one run is given to the batting side.
● Free Hits do not apply after a no-ball.
● The last remaining batsman bats on with the fifth batsman acting as a
runner. He always takes the strike. The innings is complete when the
seventh wicket falls.
● Batsmen retired not out on reaching a personal score of 30+ runs.
Although he can come back to bat once all the wickets fall.
