Somaiya Vidya Mandir Laxmiwadi Hosts First DSO Squash Tournament 2025-26, Students Qualify for Pune Division

A historic sporting milestone was achieved as Somaiya Vidya Mandir, Laxmiwadi, successfully hosted the DSO Squash Tournament 2025-26 for the first time, organized by DSO Ahilyanagar. 

With 11 schools participating, the tournament saw spirited matches across all age groups: U-14 Boys (21), U-14 Girls (16), U-17 Boys (24), U-17 Girls (22), U-19 Boys (17), and U-19 Girls (13).

The U-14 Girls dominated the podium with Mane Sayali Eaknath (1st), Samruddhi Manohar (2nd), Shraddha Manohar (3rd), and Siddhi Mukund (4th). 

Other highlights included Shaikh Khatija Samsher’s 3rd place (U-17 Girls), Prajyot Rupvate’s 2nd (U-14 Boys), Chavan Vivek’s 3rd (U-14 Boys), and Aditya Thorat’s 3rd (U-17 Boys).

We are proud to announce that all these players have been selected to represent the Pune Division, marking a significant step forward in their squash journey.

This success would not have been possible without the guidance of Somaiya Sports Academy Coach Mr Rahul Pawar, and the constant support of Mr Sanjay Amolik and Ms. Rupali Teke. 

A special thanks also goes to Principal Mr Maruti Dhaytadak and the school management for their encouragement and unwavering support.
