The Volleyball Skills Clinic held at Somaiya Sports Academy was a resounding success, offering students a unique opportunity to train under one of India’s most respected volleyball figures, Ms Vaishali K. Phadtare. A recipient of the Shiv Chhatrapati State Sports Award, former captain of the Indian Women’s Volleyball Team, and an FIVB Level-I and II certified international coach, Ms. Phadtare brought world-class expertise to the court.
Students were trained in a structured manner, starting with foundational techniques and progressing to advanced-level skills, with a special focus on setter-specific drills and game awareness. Her hands-on approach, tactical insights, and motivational presence made a lasting impact on all athletes. The clinic not only strengthened core skills but also ignited confidence and competitive spirit among the participants.
