Somaiya Vidyavihar University (SVU) proudly hosted and triumphed at the AIU All India Inter-University Squash (Men & Women) Tournament 2024-2025, showcasing top-tier Squash talent from 30 universities across India.

In a historic achievement, SVU emerged victorious in both the men's and women's categories, with the men’s team securing their third consecutive title and the women’s team claiming their maiden championship. The men’s team displayed dominance with a 3-0 win over the University of Delhi, led by standout performances from Om Semwal, Suraj Chand, and Deepak Mandal. The women’s final was a nail-biting clash, where Mona Chauhan, Nirupama Dubey, and Rani Gupta powered SVU to a 3-2 victory against the University of Delhi.

The University of Delhi finished as runners-up in both categories, while Panjab University (Men) and the University of Kerala (Women) secured third place. 

The tournament, held at SVU’s state-of-the-art sports facilities, provided a world-class experience for players and spectators alike.

The event was a resounding success, made possible by the dedication of athletes, the support of AIU, and the tireless efforts of the organizing committee. With this remarkable achievement, SVU continues to cement its legacy as a powerhouse in university Squash.
